DALLAS – Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Jonathan C. Wilson has been elected a fellow of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers (CLEL) in the class of 2011.

One of only two Texas attorneys elected in 2011, the college is comprised of a select group of distinguished professionals who are recognized for a sustained contribution to the field of labor and employment law and who meet the high standards of integrity, professionalism and character.

“Jonathan’s election is indeed a high honor, and we congratulate him on this achievement,” said Ron Breaux, head of the firm’s Specialized Litigation Section. “The credibility and prestige that comes from being a part of the college is highly deserved by Jonathan.”

Mr. Wilson served as chair of Haynes and Boone’s Labor and Employment Law Practice for many years, and has more than 28 years experience representing employers in employment and traditional labor law matters, including matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), collective bargaining, and advising employers in labor law matters. He is also a seasoned litigator in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration forums, defending employers in individual and class action cases involving discrimination, retaliation and wage hour matters. In addition, Mr. Wilson has represented employers in disputes involving officer-partner fiduciary obligations, ERISA litigation and litigation of cases involving trade secrets, covenants not to compete and unfair competition.

“I am honored to have been elected as a fellow, and look forward to serving with the talented legal minds of the 2011 class,” said Mr. Wilson. “I also thank my colleagues at Haynes and Boone for helping me get to this point with their guidance and expertise.”

Wilson received both his bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Wyoming.
