The regulatory work, especially in the antitrust, securities enforcement, energy, and international trade areas, provides clients with the highest quality governmental and regulatory expertise encompassing counseling, enforcement and litigation issues.
Our Washington lawyers maintain excellent working relationships with senior White House and Executive Branch officials, and with key members of Congress and their staffs. Many have backgrounds rich in government service. Posts they have held include:
- Executive director of the Maryland Public Service Commission
- Assistant general counsel of the U.S. International Trade Commission
- Chief of the Litigation III Section of the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division
- Assistant Commissioner for Trademarks at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
