To foster a strong participation in public service, Haynes and Boone uses a Pro Bono/Public Service Committee to help lawyers on their search for appropriate pro bono legal work or other public service opportunities. The firm also views pro bono hours favorably in performance reviews, and strives hard to give pro bono clients the same level of service as every other firm client. The Haynes and Boone Foundation. The Haynes and Boone Foundation receives contributions from the firm and its partners to provide funding to non-profit organizations that are essential to our local communities.
Service to the Legal Profession. Haynes and Boone lawyers devote hundreds of hours each year in service to the legal profession and have risen to the top of many professional groups.
Recent accomplishments for firm partners include John Penn serving as President of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Lamont Jefferson serving as President of the San Antonio Bar Association, Ken Reisenfeld serving as Chair of the International Section of the American Bar Association and Lynne Liberato serving as President of the State Bar of Texas. Many others lead local and state bar association sections such as bankruptcy, intellectual property, litigation and securities.
