San Antonio

The San Antonio office sits on the famed Paseo del Rio (Riverwalk) in the heart of downtown San Antonio – the home of the Alamo, Mission Trail, and many Texas historical and tourist attractions. Our lawyers work with clients like Valero Energy Corporation in both insurance coverage litigation and energy; Methodist Healthcare in litigation, regulatory, and real estate; USAA in IP matters; USAA Real Estate in transactional real estate services; HEB in tort litigation, Taco Cabana in employment counseling and litigation; and Martin Marietta in real estate, business and commercial litigation matters.

Facts and Fine Points about the San Antonio Office

This office is relatively small, but powerful — we have developed and maintain a large presence in the community. Our lawyers include past and current Bar Association presidents, past and current chairs of local Chambers of Commerce, a past school board president and current board members of numerous charitable and civic organizations. For example, administrative partner Lamont Jefferson is past-president of the 3,300-member San Antonio Bar Association, a member of the State Bar Board of Directors, and serves as co-chair of the American Bar Association's Commercial and Business Litigation Committee. Steve Waters has chaired the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, been President of the Real Estate Council of San Antonio and currently is Finance Chair on the Executive Committee of the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation.

The Texas Access to Justice Commission has recognized Lamont Jefferson as a "Pro Bono Champion" – the organization’s way of acknowledging Texas lawyers who go above and beyond to ensure all Texans have justice system access. Along with Jefferson, lawyers and staff in The San Antonio office participate in the Community Justice Program clinics annually, accepting cases and providing legal services to low-income residents in South Texas.
